Mother accuses Mamaroneck H.S. student of setting her son's hair on fire

A Mamaroneck mom says her son's hair was set on fire at school.

The woman says her son was napping during a free period at Mamaroneck High School on Tuesday when another student set his hair on fire. Now she is outraged because she says the school never called authorities.

A spokesperson for the Mamaroneck School District said, "Matters of school discipline remain confidential between students, their parents and the school district."

The woman says her son went back to school on Wednesday but was taunted by other kids. The boy was kept home from school on Thursday. The family has contacted an attorney.
