Peekskill teen shot and killed inside car in Schenectady

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Peekskill teen.

Police in Schenactady say 19-year-old Unishun Mollette was shot twice in the back earlier this week while sitting in a car. According to hospital workers, Mollette, who was a student at Schenectady Community College, was dropped off at the hospital where she died by several men who quickly got back in their car and sped away.

Mollette's family took the news of her death hard. This is the second young member of their family that they have had to bury. A few years ago, Mollette's baby nephew was killed by his father.

So far, police have recovered the car Mollette was in, which had been hit by shots fired from the outside. No arrests have yet been made in the case.
