Mystery in Pelham Manor as elderly woman finds blood all over her home

Police were called to a home in Pelham Manor where an elderly woman woke up and found her downstairs covered in blood. Authorities say there were no signs of forced entry and they are not sure whether a crime took place.

Officials say the elderly woman passed out when she saw the blood and then called police when she woke up. Investigators say she was groggy and not making much sense when they were interviewing her. The woman was then taken South Shore Hospital to be evaluated.

Police were searching the property near Boston Post Road for clues. They say the elderly woman was alone at the time, and the other person that lived there has been out of town for a while. They were able to contact the man and he is alive and well.

As investigators try to piece together what happened at the house, they are telling neighbors that this was an isolated incident and that they have nothing to worry about.
