Yonkers 15-year-old being held for an alleged slashing incident

A 15-year-old girl from Yonkers is facing assault and weapons charges for allegedly stabbing another teen. Police say the stabbing occurred over a 16-year-old boy who took his new girlfriend to his former girlfriend's house on George Street in Yonkers Saturday.Cops say the boy went to the home to pick up some of his belongings and the two girls got into a fight outside the home. The ex-girlfriend allegedly slashed the new girlfriend in her rib cage. The victim later collapsed in front of Kohl's department store on Central Avenue. She was taken to the Westchester Medical Center where she is being treated for a puncture wound near her lungs. The alleged attacker is being held at a juvenile detention facility. No names are being released because all those involved are underage.
