Patrick Rukaj pleads guilty to underage drinking

Patrick Rukaj, the same teen convicted in a deadly "drunken fight" that killed one his Harrison High School classmates last year, has pleaded guilty in an underage drinking case.

Rukaj, 18, and several other teens were caught drinking at the Pearl Night Club in White Plains in July. On Wednesday, Rukaj agreed to a $50 dollar fine, community service and an alcohol awareness program to settle the matter.

This case may now be over but Rukaj's legal troubles are not. He still faces civil charges from the family of Rob Viscome. Viscome was killed last year when Rukaj punched him during a fight at an underage drinking party. The Viscomes say Rukaj and several other teens named in the lawsuit didn't call 911 even though Viscome was unconscious after he was punched.

Jonathan Lovett, the lawyer for the Viscome family, says he thinks the latest case proves Rukaj has not changed his ways. Lovett also believes Rukaj received another slap on the wrist.
