Financial trouble forces St. Agnes Hospital to close its doors for good

Employees at St. Agnes Hospital said their final goodbyes on Thursday.

St. Agnes Hospital was part of the Westchester Medical Center, but after losing money each year the center's administrators decided it was time to close the facility.

Employees at St. Agnes were treated to a luncheon by the doctors. For those who had been at the hospital for a number of years it was especially hard saying farewell. The employees are also concerned as to what the future will hold for them. One worker said at age 60 it's going to be tough to find a job.

The New York State Department of Labor has set up a workshop to help St. Agnes employees find new jobs.
