Harrison residents fill the streets for the annual Columbus Day Parade

Harrison pride shined brightly at this year's annual Columbus Day parade and fair.

On a beautiful sunny Monday, residents young and old took part in this year's 'It's Great to Live in Harrison and Columbus Day Parade. Little girls lined up to get a glimpse of the cheerleaders while others just came out to enjoy the bands and floats.

In addition to the parade, residents enjoyed a fair complete with such Italian specialties as sausage and peppers, and zeppoles.

Parents said after last week's phone threats made against area schools, it's just nice to enjoy the day and relax.
