Elmsford residents up in arms over location of new adult store

Some residents say the adult store is too close to a playground and church.

When the Romantic Depot held its grand opening about two weeks ago, residents protested outside. The store, which is located on Frontage Street, is right around the corner from a playground and church, which doesn't sit well with some residents.

Robert Williams, mayor of the Village of Elmsford, says the store opened overnight, and currently the village does not have an ordinance in place to prevent businesses like the Romantic Depot from opening.

Village officials are now looking for ways to change that ordinance and see what can be done about the Romantic Depot.

Managers at the Romantic Depot say the store is not going anywhere.
