Bullet found at elementary school in Harrison

Police say a bullet has been found outside the Preston Elementary School on Taylor Avenue in Harrison. According to police, a student found the bullet in the playground at the school.

The discovery comes one week after the Purchase Elementary School, also in Harrison, was shut down because of phone threats.

Cops say Stephen Eggleston of Missouri made the phone threat saying "there's going to be a shooting at the Purchase School. Do you understand?" Police arrested Eggleston and a 14-year-old from Virginia for allegedly making the calls.

Police don't think the two incidents are connected, but they're not taking any chances. Officers remain stationed outside every Harrison school to make sure students are safe.

Police say the bullet found at Purchase Elementary School was a "live bullet," meaning it had never been fired. Police say they are continuing to investigate both incidents.
