Two Mount Vernon H.S. students charged with sexual misconduct
Two Mount Vernon H.S. varsity football players are in trouble with the law.
Richard Powell and Christopher Mcken are both charged with sexual misconduct after police say the two forced a 15-year-old girl to perform oral sex in a boys bathroom after school. Both Powell and Mcken along with three other football players were suspended Tuesday. Police believe the other players may have participated in the incident. The alleged victim was also suspended.The two pleaded not guilty to sexual misconduct. They have been ordered to stay away from the alleged victim.
Meanwhile, additional security guards are now on duty at the school. The upcoming homecoming dance and pep rally have been canceled.
