Westchester DA's husband starts new career as a radio talk show host
The county DA's husband kicked off his new job as a radio host on Thursday.
Al Pirro, the husband of Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, is now the host of 'Radio Show Host' on WVOX-AM and WRTN-FM.
Along with being known as the DA's husband, he is also a convicted felon. In the summer of 2,000, Pirro, who was a lawyer and lobbyist, was convicted of federal tax fraud. He served 17 months in jail and says he plans on addressing his experience on the air.
The hour-long show is a call-in format that covers a variety of topics ranging from Internet dating to politics. Pirro says there will not be many topics that are off limits although he says he will be careful about discussing what the DA is working on at the time.
So far, those who called into the show expressed mixed feelings about the county's newest radio personality.
