Sleepy Hollow resident's home tagged with anti-Semitic graffiti
Sharon Miller of Sleepy Hollow couldn't believe what she found when she opened her front door Tuesday. Six swastikas and the word "Jew" were scrawled all over the door, and for Miller, the experience was quite shocking.Miller, who lives on Tappan Avenue, thinks whoever scribbled the hateful graffiti probably saw the mezuzah on her door, a common symbol in many Jewish homes. Miller says she has no enemies and can't imagine why anyone would do such a thing.Miller also found pro-Hitler literature outside her home last weekend entitled "Who is Hitler?" The same literature and anti-Semitic graffiti has also been found in several Westchester communities recently, including Greenburgh, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington and Yonkers.Sleepy Hollow police are currently investigating the incident.
