Colavita wins Eastchester Town Supervisor Race

In an early surprise on Election Night, Eastchester Town Supervisor Jim Cavanaugh conceded defeat to Republican Anthony Colavita.

Colavita, an attorney and member of the Eastchester Town Board, now takes over the position that Cavanaugh held for the past ten years. This is the second time in as many months that Colavita defeated Cavanaugh.

Earlier this year, Colavita defeated Cavanaugh in the G.O.P. primary. Cavanaugh decided to stay in the race for supervisor, running on the Conservative and Independence party ticket. Cavanaugh's decision was met with criticism because he is also the Chairman of the Westchester Republican Party.Click here for complete election results.
