Idoni wins fourth term as New Rochelle mayor

Tim Idoni (D) was successful Tuesday night in his bid for a fourth straight term as New Rochelle mayor. Idoni received 50 percent of the vote, compared to Republican candidate Mario Scarano's 35 percent. Linda Levine also received 15 percent of the vote on the Working Families line. Idoni narrowly defeated Levine in the Democratic primary.Idoni said he feels he won because his team "turned it on" during the second half of the campaign. He said his campaign realized its mistakes early on, and also knew what the important issues were for voters.
