Harrison town council race too close to call

The race for Harrison Town Council was too close to call Tuesday night. There are two seats to be had and the candidates involved are Republicans Anthony DiFiore and Mark Rinaldi, and Democrats Robert Paladino and Patrick Vetere.

Voting machines were impounded and placed under guard at the municipal garage on Gleason Place. The candidates involved say they are anxious to see those votes officially counted.

The county has until December 5 to officially count the votes so that the election can be certified by the state on December 15.Both candidates say paper ballots may be crucial to their chances.
