Westchester residents take to the sky on the busiest traveling day of the year

Westchester County Airport officials say there was a big influx in the number of travelers Wednesday.

On average, administrators at the airport say they see about 800 people a day, but in just a half hour Wednesday morning 550 people were processed.

Many of the travelers say increased security at the airport was not a problem. They say flying is no big deal and that they feel pretty safe.

Airport officials say they expect to process about 2,000 more people before the holiday rush is over.
