Westchester retailers hoping for bigger sales this holiday season

The holiday shopping rush is underway and retailers are hoping this season will be a big one.

For the past few years, shoppers have kept a tight grip on their wallets. On Black Friday, some shoppers seemed eager to open their wallets and spend, spend, spend, while others were still holding back.

But retailers say they are optimistic. In fact, retail experts are predicting a 4 to 6 percent increase in sales from last year. To help reel in the businesses stores are offering great deals and now have extended shopping hours.
