September 11 mural unveiled in Hartsdale
A memorial honoring the victims of the September 11 terror attacks was unveiled Sunday in Hartsdale. The memorial is a permanent display of 1,800 hand-painted tiles that were designed by those who lost loved ones. The family members of the 9/11 victims live in Westchester and officials hope designing commemorative tiles will help in their healing process.
The Westchester Arts Council and the town of Greenburgh teamed up to put the September 11 tile project together. It will be maintained as a permanent place of reflection and remembrance in Hartsdale.
