Police urge WC shoppers to watch who may be watching them

County police departments warned shoppers to be on alert for thieves looking to take advantage of the Christmas season.Police say there are crooks eying shoppers' gifts, cash and credit cards. Some tips to make sure you're not a victim are to move your wallet to the front pocket and to never put your purse down. Knowing people are buying gifts for loved ones, thieves will hope there is extra cash and try to snatch your wallet or purse if you put it down for a split second. To be safe, shoppers are also urged to leave cash at home and use credit cards or checks.Police also say that crooks will target cars. They suggest putting purchases in the trunk, locking car doors right away and rolling the windows up.
