Second snowstorm of the season brings three to six inches across Westchester

(12/15/03) YONKERS - Winter may begin in a week, but Westchester has already been hit with a second round of winter weather.

Three to six inches of snow accumulated across the county on Sunday afternoon, and the storm changed to sleet and rain later in the afternoon and evening.

A winter weather advisory is in effect through midmorning Monday for most of Westchester and the New York City metropolitan area. While most of the precipitation has ended, pockets of freezing drizzle, possibly mixed with light snow, may make for a slippery commute.
