Still no word on whether Pirro will run for third term as Westchester DA

Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro was pressing her case Monday for a new state law to confine repeat sexual offenders. Pirro did not officially announce if she would run for district attorney again. Political analysts say Pirro may be running for state attorney general or U.S. senator next year, but she has declined to comment.Pirro skipped any talk of the controversy surrounding her husband Al Pirro. Last week, the New York Daily News revealed secret FBI recordings. In the recordings, suspected mobster Gregory DePalma said another suspected mobster, Robert Persico, claimed Al Pirro told him about the investigation of a Mamaroneck police officer. Westchester GOP Leader Rosemarie Panio said she believes Pirro will win another term if she runs again.
