Two women, one just married, killed in car accident in Port Chester

Police say a deadly car crash claimed the lives of two women in Port Chester Monday night. One women who died had just gotten married.

According to investigators, the car, with two couples, was traveling northbound on King Street at a high rate of speed. Police say the driver of the vehicle suddenly crossed over into the oncoming lane and left the roadway. The car then struck and snapped two telephone poles. Investigators say both women were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Authorities say one couple had just gotten married six hours earlier by a justice of the peace and was out celebrating with the other couple. The two men were taken to Westchester Medical Center. Police have charged the driver with DWI.
