Westchester high school students learn the dangers of drunk driving
Some Westchester high school students received a graphic lesson on the dangers of driving drunk Friday.
A staged scene was presented to the students of Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua. Police, fire and EMS crews were on hand to demonstrate to students what occurs at the scene of a drunk-driving car accident. Firefighters used the jaws of life to extract victims from a car while police conducted a sobriety test on the driver.
With prom and graduation only a month away, officials are hoping the teenagers will get the message about the consequences of driving drunk.
