Warrant issued for Peekskill businessman accused of raping 10-year-old girl

A warrant has been issued for a 68-year-old Peekskill businessman accused of repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl.

According to police, Richard Bell, who owns a plumbing business in Millwood, is accused of a series of sexual assaults on a young girl over the past three years. When police searched Bell?s Ridge Street home, they discovered an arsenal of various firearms. A nationwide manhunt was then underway.

Kevin Kitson, Bell?s attorney, says his client is being unfairly treated by the police and the Westchester District Attorney?s office. Kitson says he advised his client to wait until Monday to surrender to police because there is no access to the court system on Friday or the weekend. Kitson also claims his client has permits for all his guns. However, Kitson admitted he did not know where Bell currently is.
