Voters in Bronxville approve $36.9M school spending plan for 2005-2006

Voter turnout was steady in Bronxville Tuesday, as residents came out to vote for the district?s 2005-2006 spending plan.The majority of residents voted in favor of the $36.9 million budget that will raise local property taxes 15 percent. Most residents say their child?s education is more important than a tax increase. The budget was approved by a vote of 473 to 295.In order to get residents to the poll this year, school board members offered ice cream to all the voters.
