A man from Connecticut was charged Wednesday with a violation for nearly blowing up an Eastchester gas station in April.

According to authorities, George Trister was pulling out of a gas station with the pump nozzle still attached to his car. Trister?s actions caused the gas pump to knock down and spark a fire. Trister says it was an accident and he is grateful that nothing more serious occurred because of his actions.

Trister appeared in court and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, which is a violation. Trister also has agreed to pay for the damages to the gas station.
