Controversial minister from PA gives a sermon at a White Plains church

A controversial minister from Pennsylvania presented a sermon on inclusiveness at the Memorial United Methodist Church in White Plains Sunday.

Minister Beth Stroud was stripped of her duties last year when she openly announced she was a lesbian. This month, an appeals committee reversed the decision. Stroud?s case will now to go the Judicial Council of the United Methodist Church for final approval. She says she will wait for the case to be completely resolved before she resumes her duties as a minister.

Members of the White Plains congregation say they welcome Stroud with open arms. Some members say they hope her message of inclusiveness will one day change the United Methodist Church.
