Briarcliff Manor High School students arrested in prom bust
Police say they arrested three Briarcliff Manor High School students who were on their way to the prom Friday.
According to authorities, after receiving a tip, police stopped a rented bus with 28 teenagers on board that were going to their prom. Police say they found cocaine, marijuana and nine bottles of liquor aboard the bus.
A spokesperson for the rental company, Top Class Limo, says they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to alcohol, which is stated in a contract the students read. Police arrested three students, two were given a summons for possession of alcohol and the other was charged with drug and alcohol possession.
School officials say they are conducting an investigation and will decide if any disciplinary action will be taken.
