Four-year-old boy left stranded at a Yonkers bus stop

A 4-year-old boy was stranded at a Yonkers bus stop Tuesday after what the school is calling a communication glitch.

According to Ana Marcano, the boy?s mother, she notified School No. 15 that she would be detained at work and wouldn?t be at the bus stop to pick up her son. School officials say that information did not get to the bus driver and monitor in time and Christian Marcano was left alone at the bus stop.

A 10-year-old boy saw Christian and walked him home. School policy states that if no one is present when children get off the bus, they are to be taken back to the school?s Department of Transportation office. School officials say the monitor who works for the bus company has been removed from her job.
