Mother indicted in connection to statutory rape of her daughter in White Plains
The Westchester district attorney charged a woman Tuesday with abetting in the statutory rapes of her daughter and her friend in a White Plains hotel room.
The 41-year-old woman brought her daughter and two of her friends to White Plains to go shopping in April. According to authorities, the mother bought liquor and two men back to the hotel room where the 13-year-old daughter and her 14-year-old friend were sexually assaulted by the men.
Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro says the mother knew what was going on and said it was time for her daughter to have sex and get it over with. Pirro points out a parent cannot consent to a child?s having sex.
The two men were indicted on charges of second-degree rape and other sex crimes and the mother was charged as an accessory. She is also accused of endangering a child?s welfare and unlawfully dealing with a child.
