County executive challenger calls for two of Spano's top aides to step down
Challenger Rob Astorino is calling for two of Westchester County Executive Andy Spano?s top aides to step down.
Astorino claims Spano?s aides, Deputy County Executive Larry Schwartz and Chief Advisor Susan Tolchin, have been doing political campaign work on the taxpayers? dime.
Recently, the Spano and Astorino camps have gone to battle over the issue of the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant and the location of a men?s homeless shelter that will house sex offenders.
Tolchin admitted to passing on incorrect information regarding the homeless shelter. However, she fired back at Astorino over recent e-mail exchanges with a spokesman for Entergy, the owner of the Indian Point power plant.
In answer to Astorino?s clams, Tolchin and Schwartz say the only issues they respond to are government issues, not campaign issues.
