Man arrested for DE burglary may be linked to murder of White Plains student

Police believe a man arrested for burglary in Delaware may be the suspect they are looking for in the murder of a North White Plains college student.

James Cooke, Jr., 34, is accused of breaking into a college student?s apartment on April 30, a day before firefighters responded to a fire at Lindsay Bonistall?s Delaware apartment. Investigators say Bonistall?s attacker strangled her and set her apartment on fire to cover up the crime. Police believe Cooke matches the composite sketch of Bonistall?s killer.

Investigators also say there was writing on Bonistall?s apartment wall that will help them in this case. Cooke was charged with robbery and burglary. Police are still investigating Bonistall?s murder.
