Yonkers man charged after wild ride down Saw Mill Parkway on the hood of a car

A Yonkers man is facing a number of charges after police say he jumped on the hood of his girlfriend?s car on the Saw Mill River Parkway and smashed the windshield.

According to authorities, Paul Rodriguez and his girlfriend were returning from a party with their child Thursday when an argument erupted. After the couple pulled over on the parkway, the woman jumped back into the car because she feared for her safety. Police say Rodriguez then jumped on the hood and began punching the windshield, eventually breaking it.

Rodriguez is charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.
