Community of Ossining bids farewell to longtime firefighter
The community of Ossining came together Monday at the funeral mass for William McAnally, the volunteer firefighter who died of a heart attack last week. Dozens of fire companies around Westchester joined family and friends as they said their final farewell. The 64-year-old firefighter collapsed after marching in the Yorktown Firemen's Parade last week. McAnally was a member of the Ossining Fire Department for 41 years. He served as a captain and fire commissioner.
