Two Bedford high school graduates head off to Marine boot camp

Emotions ran high at a party Monday to send off two recent high school graduates from Mount Kisco to Marine boot camp.

Rey Rivera and Aaron Serivello, both 18 years old, graduated from Fox Lane High School in Bedford and joined the Marines. Marine recruiters initially gave the pair the option of heading off to boot camp in South Carolina in a few weeks. However, both teens said they wanted to begin their enlistment right away.

Rivera and Serivello are also volunteer firefighters with the Mount Kisco Fire Department. The assistant chief brought a ladder truck to the party as a show of support. Both Rivera and Serivello say they are looking forward to their first return visit as Marines in three months.
