Holiday weekend robbery leaves one dead, two injured in Greenburgh

One man is dead and two others are in critical condition after a holiday weekend robbery turned violent in Greenburgh.

Police say a man with a gun opened fire in the Cibao deli on Tarrytown Road Sunday night. According to police, the man fatally shot a store clerk, 53-year-old Angel Cabrera. They say the suspect then turned his gun on Cabrera?s two cousins, 48-year-old Jose Pena and storeowner Pedro Pena, 42.

Both Jose and Pedro Pena were taken to Westchester Medical Center where they remain in critical condition. Authorities believe the suspect may be from the neighborhood because it appeared he knew the lay out of the store. Anyone with information is asked to call the Greenburgh police at 682-5331.
