Man rescues woman from burning vehicle after Mount Pleasant car crash

A man rescued a woman from her burning vehicle Sunday after a crash in Mount Pleasant.

The accident occurred on Bedford Road and Route 9A. Authorities say a car was pushed by another car into a cement barrier. They say the force of the crash caused the vehicle to burst into flames.

The Pleasantville Fire Department was able to control the fire while the man removed the driver from her car. The drivers and passengers in the two cars were taken to the hospital. However, police say there were no serious injuries in the crash. According to police, neither driver has been ticketed and the accident is under investigation.
