Westchester County and federal aviation officials speak out on airport security

County and federal aviation officials held a special seminar Tuesday at Westchester County Airport concerning airport security.

The seminar was held for private plane and corporate jet owners. It comes on the heels of an incident where authorities say an unlicensed pilot stole a plane and went on a drunken joyride. Although the plane was stolen from a Connecticut airport, Westchester County Airport has beefed up its security.

Transportation Security Administration officials spoke about how owners can protect their planes by installing mechanisms which would prevent the engines from starting. One plane owner in attendance says he already has a lock on the ignition key.
