Woman fights back against assailant in Tarrytown

Police say a woman fought back against her assailant Wednesday night in Tarrytown.

According to police, a woman was on Tappan Landing Road waiting for a friend when a man on a bike approached her and asked for the time. When the friend arrived, police say the man attacked her and said he would crack her neck if she moved. The victim, who was trained in martial arts, punched her assailant and got away.

Tarrytown police are searching for the assailant and ask anyone with information to contact the Detective Division at 914-631-1514.
