Multi-million dollar mansion goes up in flames in Armonk

A multi-million dollar mansion went up in flames in Armonk Saturday.

According to officials, a family from Briarcliff Manor bought the home on the corner of Sands Mill Road and Wrights Mill Road and was going to move in next month. A North Castle police officer was passing by the mansion and noticed flames. Fire officials say they had to call for mutual aid from surrounding towns to battle the blaze. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.

Officials say the entire house will most likely be knocked down because it is no longer structurally sound. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
