Suspect charged in the rape of 8-year-old New Rochelle girl
The suspect was charged Monday in the rape of the 8-year-old New Rochelle girl.
Police say the young girl thought 26-year-old Ahkim Blount, of Yonkers, was the building superintendent and let him into her apartment on Winthrop Avenue. According to police, Blount then raped the girl while her mother was out.
The girl was able to identify Blount from photos. He is charged with first-degree rape. According to police, Blount has prior records of drug possession and reckless endangerment.
