Soldier from Port Chester killed in Iraq
Another family from Westchester is grieving Tuesday after receiving word that a soldier from Port Chester was killed in Iraq.
The military reported that 26-year-old Lance Corporal Efrain Sanchez Jr. was killed in a ?non-hostile? incident at Camp Blue Diamond in Ramadi, Iraq on Sunday. Details on Sanchez?s death are limited and the cause is under investigation.
Sanchez was a highly decorated Marine who had been serving in Iraq for the past four months. He is the seventh soldier from Westchester to be killed in the war on terror.
