Westchester DA's bodyguard on tap to becoming highest paid county worker
Westchester residents were shocked to learn District Attorney Jeanine Pirro?s bodyguard is making thousands in overtime and will make approximately $248,000 this year, according to published reports.
A spokesperson for Pirro says the reason for the overtime is because she has had several threats to her safety and needs high-level protection. Pirro was asked to release her schedule of overtime, but her spokesperson says that would create a security breach. According to documents, if the bodyguard continues to make overtime at the current pace, he could become the county?s highest paid employee. Chairman of the county legislature says elected county officials spend overtime funds as they see fit.
Pirro would not allow News 12 Westchester to talk to her bodyguard James O?Donnell.
