Young girl stabbed three times during shopping trip at Greenburg Kmart

A shopping spree turned tragic at Kmart in Greenburg Thursday when a girl was slashed with a knife. According to police, a mentally disoriented man forgot to take his medicine and stabbed the 11-year-old girl in the neck, shoulder and arm. The girl was able to point out 66-year-old Antonio Florio, of Elmsford for security officers who held the suspect until police arrived. Florio is being held at the Westchester County Jail without bail while he undergoes psychiatric evaluation. He is due in court next week. The victim is recuperating at the Westchester County Medical Center.
