St. Patrick's rector accused of affair with his Eastchester secretary

The rector of St. Patrick?s Cathedral in Manhattan has been accused of having a long-term affair with his married personal secretary.

Monsignor Eugene Clark, 79, is accused of having a sexual relationship with his assistant, Laura DeFilippo, 46, of Eastchester. The accusations came from DeFilippo?s husband, Philip, who claims to have videotape of his wife and Monsignor Clark entering a Long Island hotel and exiting hours later.

Laura DeFilippo?s attorney denied the allegations, saying Philip DeFilippo has distorted an innocent event to cause public embarrassment to Laura DeFilippo and her children.

Clark is formerly of the Annunciation Church in Crestwood. The archdiocese is investigating the matter.
