Rye Playland posting warning signs on rides as direct result of recent death

Changes are underway at Rye Playland after a 7-year-old was recently killed on a ride at the park. New warning signs have been posted on certain rides explaining what riders can expect. The signs will indicate the aspects of the ride, including darkness, loud noises and flashing lights. Parents can then decide if the ride is appropriate for their child to go on alone.Jon-Kely Cassara, of Norwalk, died from blunt trauma to the head while riding the park?s Ye Old Mill ride. Officials say they believe the boy became scared while he was on the ride and tried to get off.
