Candidate for county executive calls for shake up at Department of Social Services

There are calls Friday for county department heads to step down in the wake of the scalding deaths of two small Yonkers children. Westchester County Legislator and Republican candidate for county executive Rob Astorino believes the Department of Social Services is in disarray. He is calling for a separate investigation into the deaths of Elijah Santana and David Maldonado. This, after the DSS worker required to check on the boys failed to visit the home for two months. Westchester County Executive Andy Spano had no comment on the matter. The results of the county's probe into the boys' deaths are expected next week.
