Soldier from Westchester killed in Iraq after vehicle hit by explosives

Specialist Anthony Kalladeen, raised in Yonkers was killed last week in Iraq when his vehicle was hit by explosives.

Specialist Kalladeen is the 8th soldier from Westchester to be killed since the war in Iraq began. Kalladeen was an Army National Guardsman serving his second tour of duty in Iraq. He arrived there in January and was scheduled to return home next month.

A wake service will be held Tuesday in Reading, Pennsylvania where his mother lives. His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday.
