Friends of fallen Yonkers soldier say his courage will help them cope with his death

Friends of a fallen Yonkers soldier say his courage will help them cope with his death.

Army Specialist Anthony Kalladeen, 26, was just one month away from completing his tour of duty in Iraq. Friends say Kalladeen had dreamed of becoming a Marine his whole life. Kalladeen graduated from White Plains High School, attended college and fulfilled his dream of being a Marine.

Kalladeen was killed last week when explosives in Iraq struck his Humvee. He is the eighth solider from Westchester that was killed in Iraq. His wake will be held on Tuesday in Reading, Pennsylvania, where his mother lives. A funeral for Kalladeen is scheduled for Wednesday.
