Rep. Lowey makes keeping the nation safe her top priority

Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-Harrison) is making the fight against terrorism her top priority.

Lowey, who represents Westchester and Rockland counties, says the federal government needs to do more to fund the war on terrorism. She points out that New York receives less money per capita than less populated states, even though it is where the terrorists struck on September 11th.

Lowey says all federal dollars should be dispersed based on threat, vulnerability and risk. She adds the country would then have the tools it needs in the event the terrorists strike here again.
